Lamotte ColorQ Copper (Pristine Blue) Pool and Spa Test Kit 2066

Perfect for Pristine Blue. Easily Check the Copper (PristineBlue) level in your Hot Tub without the need for color guessing.

ColorQ Copper 5 handheld photometer measures five pool & spa tests directly on a digital display. Test factors include Copper (0 to 4.0 ppm), pH (6.5 to 8.5), Alkalinity (0 to 250 ppm), Calcium Hardness (0 to 700 ppm) and Iron (0 to 3.0). The kit features economical liquid reagents for pH, Alkalinity and Calcium Hardness along with easy to use TesTabs tablets for Copper and Iron.

The photometer eliminates the need to visually determine slight color variations or use look-up tables, thus taking the guesswork out of poolside water analysis. The ColorQ Copper 5 photometer is able to analyze the Copper and Iron tests in 0.1 ppm increments, pH in 0.1 increments, Alkalinity and Calcium Hardness in 1 ppm increments. The photometer, testing reagents and photo-diagrammatic trilingual instructions (English, Spanish, French) are packaged in a convenient carrying case for on-site testing.

LaMotte Test Kit

This is a great kit. Easy to use. Quick. I used to use an old LaMotte copper test strip kit which relied on my ability to discern the different hues of blue in the testing tube. It never matched up with the results from a "spin" tester at the local pool supply. The copper and iron tests do take a bit longer, but the photometer gives a definitive reading. The only problem is that the pool supply store uses a "spin" tester with "Clear" software that does not match the readings I get with the LaMotte. To be fair, their software does not have a set up for copper ionization systems. I'm sold on this kit.

Much more convenient and easier to use than an assortment of different one-parameter testers, each with different vials, test volumes, reagents, and procedures for visual interpretation of color results. Copper readings are consistent with the Lamotte Copper A/B reagent method. pH values are more believable than the chlorine and pH color block kits with new or older reagents, or multi-test strips (which consistently read extremely low, probably because the reactions are tuned for the higher pH ranges required by chlorine systems). I suspect calcium hardness might be indicating lower than actual; need to get a same-day comparison with pool store test to confirm. It's simple to skip the tests not needed as often as pH and Copper. SunPlay has the best price on the web or in stores. I'll shop here first when I need new reagents. Kit shipped quickly once in stock.
