Replaced the Pentair Multiport top valve assembly after leakage noted in exhaust hose and DE in spa after recharging filter. If you are handy - not a big deal and not really that expensive considering the life of the valve (my original is 14 years old). Make sure you get the Pentair gasket replacement for the "spider gasket". Hardest part of the job is getting the old one out (like surgery - brittle and glued. Clean the channels well). I did not glue the new one - teflon lubed (magic lube) bottom and lightly top - pool guy suggested not to. Read threads online about replacement - having to get a glued one out "cemented" my decision not to glue. Turned everything back on - no leaks and have used valve to drain some rain water off of the pool. So valve works and gasket works. Pool guy didn't want to deal with getting the old one out. He just wanted to put in a ball valve on the exhaust hose side of the valve. Doesn't fix the root cause - like putting a bucket under a leaky faucet. Sunplay had both parts at a reasonable price and fairly quick delivery. I have used them for other parts in the past and will again.
