Works great picking up and holding sand and silt

I’ve owned over a dozen of these fine filters, this was the first one I received with a grey frame. It only lasted 2 hours before the fabric detached from the frame and needs repair. It must be intended for sand and silt, not dirt?!?

This filter works like it says but does not last as long as it should. I experience leaks along the edge frame on one or both sides. I have been sealing the leaks with a strip of water proof Flex Tape and it gives the Polaris Ultra Fine Sand and Silt Filter Canister another 6 to 8 months of life.
