I started by reviewing a whole bunch of types and brands of reels. This one seem to come in at the top of the heap more often than others. After spending a few days researching the reviews, I took the plunge and ordered the 20 foot version this Horizon signature solar reel system. As others had stated in their reviews I went ahead before I started the assembly of the unit and swapped out all the cheaper nuts, screws etc., with stainless type to prevent the rust that will certainly come (Florida resident). I also went ahead and replaced the flimsy little 1 inch squares of Velcro with the commercial heavy duty type (Sold at Lowe's, HD, Ace, etc.). I personally found the instructions to be a bit confusing. Again the reviews addressed this and I was prepared. There is a very well written assembly procedure somewhere out there, I followed it. Sorry, now I cannot find the link. I did have to call customer service at Horizon-- all I will say is "very unprofessional". I still do not have what she said she would replace and immediately send to me. Luckily, I can still use the reel. I personally would advise you to leave the end that you will be installing the reel and attaching the cover-- to leave the cover a little longer so as to facilitate letting the cover stay completely over the pool water and still be easily attached to the straps and the reel. So far my reel does not sag in the middle (only used it twice now) and seems to work as advertised. Time will tell and I will revisit this review. Good Luck!
