U.S. Seal PS-3864 Shaft Seal Assembly

The U.S. Seal PS-3864 is designed for pools and hot tubs that are using Salt Generators or Ozonators. These applications require tough seals due to there more corrosive nature.

salt generator seal

At the beginning of the season my pump seal/pump shaft was frozen due to a small leak, disassembled to free up, works fine now. Ordered the seal to replace in the fall after shutting down for the season. I am sure the original seal was not designed for a salt generator system as this seal, hopefully it will last longer the the original, x3 years.
