So, I own a $1300 Dolphin Active 30, had it for 5 years and the internal motor (which is a $20 dollar electric part at best!) stopped working. Maytronics does not sell these. You can't take it to a pool place and have them fix your very expensive pool cleaner for a reasonable amount of money. No, you have to buy a $400-$500 motor "assembly". It is very confusingwhich motor assembly you will need with all of the dolphin models, and this one said it was good for all Active 10 and 50 cleaners. I called Sunplay and the girl couldn't tell me if this would fit my unit?! From the online picture it looked the same, it was not. After working on my cleaner and putting it back in my pool nothing happened and now I can't return this motor assembly. If you (Maytronics) are going to present yourself as a company that makes quality cleaners please spend an extra $20 and upgrade the electric motors. It is an insult to us; your customer base, to sell sub grade components in very expensive cleaners. I am not the only one that has experienced this, upon my internet search, I found many complaints and situations where the electric motors stopped working. I don't mind paying for quality,.....................if I get quality.
