Space Saver Eco Saver Solar Pool Heater

With Eco Saver Solar Pool Heaters you can warm your pool up 10 to 15 degrees without additional electricity, Propane or Gas. Eco Saver Solar Panels are 20% larger than other panels which means more heater for your pool. More heat can extend the swimming season which means more fun and relaxation for you and your family.

The Eco Saver Solar Panels works using most existing pump and filter systems. Water circulates from your pool into your pump and filter and then circulates through your Eco Saver Solar Panels and back into your swimming pool. The 10' Space Saver Solar Panel System uses Two (2) 10' Foot Panels and will fit many places 20' solar panels won't. Ten foot panels can be installed on a shed, a garage or hidden out of site.

  • Larger pools may require more than two 10 foot solar panel systems

Some Data for potential buyers

I mounted this on roof of my pool equipment shed that faces south, this panel gets sun for 10+ hours a day. I also hooked up a pentair solartouch controller and plumbed this panel in with 1.5" pvc pipe, and i have digital and analog inline thermometers in both cold and solar return plumbing. I use a bypass system with a gate valve to adjust flow through the solar panel, i also have a flowvis flow meter however to insure accuracy i disconnected a union and ran the solar return into a graduated bucket and adjusted the gate valve to measure my gallon per minute flow with a stopwatch. After more than a week adjusting flow rates and recording results in peak sun conditions this is what I have found. Keep in mind I purchased 1 10 foot space saver kit for my testing. At a flow rate of 3 gpm I get a 1 degree temperature increase which calculates to 1,500 btu. At 10 gpm the temperature only increases .2 of a degree, and i crancked it up to 20 gpm at 24psi and immediately noticed a small leak around an o ring connection, the leak stopped after reducing the pressure. So the 20' foot kit being twice the size i presumably figure you will get 3,000 btu per section, if you want to significantly increase pool temperature in a pool larger than 15k gallons you would need 10 or more of these panels and a pump that can handle the head pressure without exceeding 20 psi, at just about 40btu per square foot and the hassle of only being able to connect to the proprietary 2 pin twist connector i would only recommend this to those with above ground pools utilizing flexible hose and planning on laying on the ground close to the pool. This being one of the lowest priced panels I wasn't expecting much of a btu/foot but for double the money you can find triple the performance with other manufacturers

The solar system is working well. Temp difference inlet to discharge approx 10 deg.
This is extending the swimming season.
As for longevity, that is to be seen. The good thing is the heater comes with an warranty.

System works well.

The system works well for the price and was easy to install. The only problem was the diverter valve broke during the winter. The system in installed in an area that does not have a lot of sun, so I will add a second set this summer.
