Too exspensive

Works great, however, little difficult to position the display to face front. Display was facing back part of control and had to struggle a bit to face it correctly to the front. Once all said and done, unit works great!

I have a Hayward H400IDL. This was the exact part I needed and was not a cheap Chinese knockoff. This item came in Hayward packaging and is a perfect fit. The up/down buttons are slightly different than the original, but all of the motherboard plugs fit perfectly and it worked right away. Couldn't be happier as my SPA can now be heated again and my pool if necessary.

I commented before on Sunplay's excellent service. If you order this exact part for an earlier Hayward heater (not sure but ours is at least 15 years old), be aware that Hayward added two screw hole posts on either side of the assembly cover. I couldn't dremel the posts, and didn't want to remove the protective cover, so I took some tin snips and cut some indents into the sheet metal cover, just enought to make room for the posts. Other than that, the part is a drop-in replacement and works like a charm. The added benefit is the energy saver feature once temp goes above 90 degrees, and I swear that the pool is heating much faster. Maybe they improved something in the logic, who knows?
