Top fitting leaks

The product is well made and perfect fit but the supplied fitting that screws into the top is too loose and leaks even with a lot of teflon tape. If not the fitting then its the screw hole on the housing itself. I will figure it out but would have preferred not to have to deal with it.

The pump housing being replaced had a 1 1/2" inlet and outlet hole. The new pump housing had 2" holes. This caused issues when installing and I had to redo the piping to the pool.
