Pentair Piston Rod Assembly 273241Z

I bought this backwash valve to replace one that had failed prematurely. There's something to be said for the name brand part in this case because it operates smoothly and seals well. I bought the cheaper unit a few years ago and it was troublesome from the start. This one slides smoothly in the bore while the other one wasn't quite sized right. Probably 2mm off which was enough to cause it to hang up and prematurely wear out o-rings. So far this one has worked well and I'd buy it again.
