First of all, I have found Sunplay to have the lowest prices anywhere on the Web including ebay and amazon.
This is a more of a review of polaris' trouble shooting instructions rather than the part itself. My alledged unit control failure showed two alternating program red leds flashing which indicates there's a problem but since the cleaner is dead in the water it's fairly obvious. Polaris recommended replacement of the control unit. I purchased a replacement from Sunplay and installing it was simply plugging in a power cord and cable connection. So far so good, back in the water and in business or so i thought, I ran two consecutive cycles and I congratulated myself. Next day two flashing leds and dead in the water again. Control failure, some more trouble shooting, now polaris recommended a motor head replacement or a cable replacement or maybe it's time to replace everything. As it turned out, it was an internal cable plug connection to the motor head. Evidently the plug seal failed and water shorted out to give the control failure. Evidently my old controller is fine, now I have two. Moral of this story? Always check the simplest things first, never assume the instructions are absolute. And nothing is water tight. If you need parts, It's always Sunplay for me.
