The Nuvo UV1500A is designed for above ground pools up to 15,000 gallons of water and kills what chlorine can't. UV Systems can kill pathogens such as salmonella, giardia cyst, E. coli, cryptosporidium, staph, streptococcus and many other pathogens that are resistant to chlorine.
As your pool water passes through the Nuvo Sterilization Chamber, pathogens are killed and eliminated by the same process used to sterilize surgical instruments. It is for this reason virtually water treatment centers incorporate UV systems to sanitize your culinary water.
